HDT Returns to Bathurst, Team Valvoline GRM Wildcard Livery Breaks Cover
October 1, 2026

The Team Valvoline GRM Bathurst 1000 wildcard livery has been unveiled, alongside confirmation of HDT’s return to the Great Race.
HDT will support the Garry Rogers Motorsport entry, to be steered by James Moffat and Nathan Herne. The iconic brand is synonymous with the mountain having claimed nine Bathurst 1000 victories, eight of which came with Peter Brock at the wheel.
The HDT brand was recently purchased by Kenny Habul, with an announcement on the brand’s future plans to be made on the 12th of October.
Valvoline and Repco take pride of place as returning major sponsors from the team’s 2000 Bathurst winning livery, which has been replicated for GRM’s Bathurst comeback.
Anthem Workwear have also thrown their support behind the wildcard program, joining previously announced commercial partners GT Radial, Advanced Aquarium Technologies, TFH Hire, BlueGold Industries and HCC Distributions.
Moffat and Herne recently enjoyed a highly productive two-day test at Winton Motor Raceway, as GRM hit the track for the first time in Supercars Gen3 machinery.
The Repco Bathurst 1000 takes place from October 8-11, with Garry Rogers Motorsport contesting their first Supercars race since 2020.
Quotes
Barry Rogers – GRM Director
“Growing up in the 1970’s you either loved Brock or Moffat. In my case it was Brock and it was because of how cool the HDT logo was. I remember drawing pictures of race cars at kindergarten, all adorned with the HDT logo. I am tremendously proud, as I know that Dad would be to have HDT supporting GRM at Bathurst”.
HDT Spokesperson
“HDT and Garry Rogers Motorsport are two great Australian motorsport names with enormous history at Mount Panorama. Bringing the brands together for the Repco Bathurst 1000 feels incredibly fitting, and we’re proud to be part of GRM’s wildcard campaign at Australia’s greatest race.”
