Returning Trio Complete 2026 Trans Am Lineup

James Moffat, Tom Davies and Lachlan Evennett all return at Garry Rogers Motorsport for the 2026 Trans Am Cup Series.

2023 Trans Am Champion, Moffat, is back for his fourth full-time campaign this year carrying fresh backing from Advanced Aquarium Technologies and Frank Davies Investments as well as continued support from Adrian Portelli’s LMCT+.  After winning the title in 2023, Moffat finished runner-up in the 2024 points race and fifth in 2025, where he claimed two race victories.

Davies made his debut in 2024 and enjoyed breakout performances in his second year in the category. The Ariat backed racer took his maiden podium finish in 2025 and will be looking to continue his forward progress this season.

17-year-old Evennett burst on to the scene, finishing seventh in the series, with his Trans Am debut in 2025. The CAMM Quarries & Concreting young gun finished the year on a high with pole position at Mallala and a trio of podium finishes to claim second for the round in Adelaide.

The trio of returning drivers join new signing Jack Smith (SCT Logistics) in Garry Rogers Motorsport’s four brand-new Chevrolet Camaros.

The 2026 Trans Am Cup Series kicks off at the Bathurst 6 Hour from April 3-5.

Quotes:
Barry Rogers – Director, Garry Rogers Motorsport
“James has been a near constant part of GRM since 2016, Garry always had a lot of time for him. The way he goes about it, we know he’s an imposing figure on the racetrack, but on the other side his attitude and knowledge around the team is a huge attribute and a help to our young guns and all the crew.

“Tom and Lachlan coming back for another year, it’s great for both of them to have a consistent environment to build upon. The young talents are what GRM has really been built on, and both of them showed great promise in 2025. It’s not easy at the pointy end in Trans Am, there’s a lot of experience in the field, so we’re really excited to get our two younger drivers in that mix.”
