Jack Smith Joins Garry Rogers Motorsport in SCT Camaro
February 17, 2026

SCT Logistics racer Jack Smith has made the move to Garry Rogers Motorsport for the 2026 Trans Am season.
The 26-year-old has one season of Trans Am racing under his belt, which made up the bulk of his racing program in 2025 alongside his return to the Supercars Championship in a co-driving capacity. Smith’s wealth of racing experience includes four full-time seasons in Australia’s top echelon of competition.
A move to GRM will pair invaluable experience and driving talent alongside the calibre of a two-time championship winning team. As GRM moves to Chevrolet Camaros for 2026, the newest driver signing signals the team’s desire to maximise their chances of a third Trans Am crown.
In 2025 GRM claimed six race wins and three pole positions with James Golding the team’s leading challenger, taking third in the standings.
Smith forms one part of a four-car lineup at Garry Rogers Motorsport for the 2026 season.
Quotes:
Jack Smith – #11 SCT Logistics GRM Chevrolet Camaro
“GRM have been quite the standard in Trans Am for a number of years, and I was really drawn to the professionalism and level of the team. In the last few years GRM have been extremely consistent across all their drivers. They’ve been at the front and I’m looking forward to fitting in to that, working with the rest of the team and challenging them.
“Last year was, for a lot of reasons, a great year and I really enjoyed the series. There’s a lot of learnings from that which I can take in to 2026, there was a lot of differences for me to get used to, definitely a lot I can apply for this year.
“As far as coverage goes, and for SCT in particular it’s great to have the big events on the calendar. It’s also an advantage for me, I know all the tracks well that are on the calendar and enjoy them. Really looking forward to having a great year.”
Barry Rogers – Director, Garry Rogers Motorsport
“Dad (Garry) and I first met the Smith family in New Zealand, and I think it was 2015 and Jack was racing a Super Tourer. Dad immediately took a liking to Peter (Jack’s dad) as he stood at the back of the paddock smoking a cigar.
“From that moment we always took an interest in Jack’s racing and we know first-hand how competitive the Supercars category is and although Jack didn’t reach the very pointy end, he did race hard, and clean with some worthy results along the way.
“When Jack left Supercars we were keen to run him in a Trans Am and show him how much fun Motorsport can be and we are certainly looking forward to working hard with him this year and making motorsport fun again!”
