Repairs Complete Ahead of Biggest Trans Am Challenge to Date
April 16, 2025

The crew back at the workshop have worked tirelessly to get all five of our Trico Trans Am Ford Mustangs looking brand new once again, as we get set to take on a 41-car grid for the second round of the series at Mount Panorama.
It’s a record-breaking weekend for the category, with the largest field in series history assembled in a combined round with the TA2 Muscle Car Series. After a highly competitive start to the season in Tasmania, it’s been a busy period for our crew.
After a hefty, and unavoidable, introduction to the Symmons Plains concrete in the final race of the weekend Lachlan Evennett’s CAMM Racing entry has been fully repaired – with the damage fortunately not as extensive as initially feared. Evennett was impressive on debut in Tasmania, where the 16-year-old qualified in fourth place.
The composite department have also been hard at work repairing the small knocks to the rest of our cars, who all got their fair share of door banging in across the weekend.
Tom Davies will be hoping to pick up where he left off after a career-best showing that now sees him sitting third in the points with his first two Trans Am podiums under his belt. James Moffat (LMCT+) and Jimmy Golding (CTE Custom Transport Equipment) both have serious form to look back on at Bathurst, most recently for Golding who scored both wins around the Mountain in 2024.
Moffat has also won at Bathurst in the past, including his 2023 victory which helped to secure his maiden title. Jordan Cox is famous for his Bathurst exploits in front-wheel-drive machinery, but the Schaeffler Trans Am will be a new beast for Coxy to tame on the Mountain, and he’ll have just one 30-minute practice session to hit the ground running.
After the sole practice, a split qualifying on Saturday morning will set the grid for the first of two 45-minute races this weekend.
Qualifying will be shown live on stream via the Bathurst 6 Hour website, with Race 1 on SBS One, Fox and Kayo. Race 2 on Sunday will be live on Fox and Kayo.
