JAMES GOLDING TAKES RECORD BREAKING POLE AT PHILLIP ISLAND

James Golding claimed a historic pole position at Phillip Island for the second round of the S5000 Australian Drivers Championship.

His lap time of 1:24.8126 wasn’t only the fastest of the session, but the fastest ever S5000 lap time. He also has a 0.4s margin ahead of his rivals.

Barry Rogers, Director of Garry Rogers Motorsport said, “James’s love of Phillip Island was on display today and to do a lap in the 1.24s requires real commitment.”

The S5000s will take to the circuit tomorrow for Race 1 and 2.
